What
is IAMS? : |
| • |
IAMS
stands for PTj-based Integrated Account Management System |
| • |
Its
main objective is to help PTjs in managing and tracking
allocated funds. |
| |
|
| |
|
|
|
The
History |
| • |
IAMS
was developed following the successful implementation
of Sistem E-Perolehan IT in PTM (the first 100% Open
Source based application developed by PTM technical
staff that won the Anugerah Inovasi MAMPU in 2003). |
|
• |
IAMS
however has replaced many of its previous features. |
|
• |
IAMS
uses TCL/Tk on AOL platform instead of PHP on Apache
with PostgreSql as its database. |
|
• |
The
system was then extended to Student Clinic and PPHB
in 2004 following the request to replace their old internally
developed systems that could no longer sustain their
requirements. |

• |
Since
then other PTj that has become part of IAMS are Bahagian
Perolehan and Faculty of Built Environment. |

On
going activities since end of year 2007 |
| • |
PTM
is aggressively taking the step in introducing IAMS
to UM Campus Divisions focusing on the Academic based
division (Faculties, Academies & Centres) |
